Smart TV Guide
A Smart TV is a TV that’ll bring on demand and catch-up TV services directly to the comfort of your living room sofa.
Finlux Smart TVs come with BBC iPlayer - allowing you catch-up with all your favourite TV and radio shows from BBC One, BBC Two, BBC Three and BBC Radio stations throughout the UK. The easy-to-use App will store the last 7 days worth of programming so you’ll never miss out again.

Sit back and share some of the funniest videos in the world via the YouTube App, whilst for social media fans there’s simple access to Twitter and Facebook, as well as sites such as eBay!
You’ll also be able to enjoy video on demand services via Viewster – offering you a range of movies ready to go when you are.
To connect your Smart TV you can use the bundled USB Wi-Fi dongle in your TV box and connect to your home Wi-Fi connection. Alternatively you can plug in an Ethernet cable into the back of your TV from your home network, so you’ll either need a cable long enough to stretch from your network point or look into buying a Homeplug that’ll carry your internet connection through your power supply.

Why should i buy a TV with Smart features?
Rather than sitting in front of your computer, laptop or tablet to catch-up on TV you've missed, wouldn't you rather press a button and sit in the comfort of your living room and enjoy the action via your TV? It allows the whole room to enjoy the programme and saves you having to connect lots of wires from your laptop to TV.
BBC iPlayer - When it comes to catch-up TV on the internet, BBC iPlayer was the UK's first service. It allows you to watch and listen to TV and radio programmes from the previous 7 days. Access is instant - you just select a programme to play it. The SD picture quality is very good, and for those who want to watch HD quality pictures, you can also play that.
YouTube - Much more than a site for sharing odd video clips uploaded by people in their bedrooms, now owned by Google, YouTube features thousands of clips from films and TV programmes past and present. There's also catch-up TV Channels, music videos, film rentals. There is also a lot of HD picture quality too.
Smart TVs aren't just for streaming video either. You can can access all your favourite social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter so you can always stay updated with your friends news.
Wired or Wireless?
As those with a laptop connected to your wireless network will appreciate, operating wirelessly offers you greater flexibility and ease when wanted to surf the web around the home. If you connect your TV via the supplied wireless dongle then it will mean that you can take your TV and plug it in anywhere in the home and it'll be connected to your wireless router.
Speeds can vary however, and the signal may be affected by how far your TV is from the router itself, as well as other factors such as cordless phones and even microwaves! A wired connection, although sometimes untidy and restrictive in location offers you greater stability and internet speeds. For those wanting a wired connection in a different part of the house to where the internet connection is than you can buy homeplug's which connects your internet connection and your mains power supply so that the internet is fed through the power supply to any other room with a pairing homeplug.
